A Little Bit of History...
I graduated from the College of Saint Benedict/St. John's University in a degree in Social Sciences/Secondary Education with a minor in History and a Coaching License. Following college, I spent a year serving in the AmeriCorps Program working with high school students in a youth service leadership class. My first year of teaching was at Blue Earth Area Junior High where I taught 8th grade early American History for one year. I taught for 12 years at Montgomery-Lonsdale High School where I also oversaw many different extra curricular activities, coached and served on various committees. During that time, I earned my Masters of Science in Educational Leadership from Southwest State University.
This is my 9th year at TCU and I enjoy being a TITAN!!! I teach 11th grade American History, 9th grade early American History, and elective classes Intro to Psychology and Abnormal Psychology. At TCU, I am one of the Co-Graduation Advisors and I coordinate the Washington, D. C. trip for Juniors and Seniors. I continue to enjoy making a difference in students' lives and preparing them for the future. I especially appreciate the small town values and the big town opportunities that Tri-City United offers to its students!
