Math Facts for 5th Grade!



 
Knowing your basic math facts is so important in 5th grade! It will make math so much easier and faster for you. Most of our math this year will be centered around knowing your basic facts in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Most students have their addition and subtraction facts down, but struggle with multiplication and division. It is vital that you memorize your multiplication and division facts. We do NOT use time tables in 5th grade. I will be sending home Friday fact sheets with all students for the first half of the school year. If you know that you struggle with your basic math facts, then please work on them throughout the summer vacation. Just 10 minutes a day will make 5th grade Math so much easier. I have also put timed tests on this webpage. Please practice them as much as you want. I hope you enjoy your summer!
