TCU 5th Grade Blended Learning Day Plan
**In the event of a snow day, we’ll have a “Blended Learning Day” where we complete school activities at home. This helps us to keep learning and avoid having to make up the snow day.
**NOTE: Our 1st snow day does not require us to complete any extra work. Every snow day after that, is considered a “Blended Learning Day” and the students will need to complete work to receive credit for that day.
Each 5th Grader will have two options for completing their Blended Learning/Snow Day assignments...
** Offline: Worksheet Packet with Cover Sheet
a) Each student will complete one worksheet page for each of their main subjects: (Math, Language Arts/Spelling, Science, Social Studies/Reading).
b) The student will complete the specialist activity of the day from the blended learning choice board.
c) The student will fill out the Blended Learning cover sheet from their worksheet packet listing what activity they completed for each subject listed on the Blended Learning cover sheet.
d) The parents will need to sign off that their student completed the worksheets and the specialist’s activity.
e) The student will bring the completed worksheet packet with the signed and completed cover sheet back to school (within 3 school days) to receive credit for their work.
**OffLine: Blended Learning Choice Board:
a) Each student can pick one activity from each subject on the choice board: (Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Specialist of the Day).
b) The student completes their chosen activities and write their score on paper (or on their Blended Learning Google Document).
c) Students then crosses off the activity they completed on their choice board.
d) Parents will need to sign off that their student completed the online work and the specialist’s activity.
e) Student brings completed choice board back to school (within 3 school days) to receive credit for their work.
**If the student needs to contact their teacher to ask questions, they can email their teacher or call them using the teacher’s Google Voice phone number. Teachers will be available from 10 am to 3pm to answer questions. You can also find this information on the district website: www.tcu2905us.new.rschooltoday.com

En línea:: paquete de hoja de trabajo con portada
a) Cada estudiante completará una página de hoja de trabajo para cada una de sus materias principales: (Matemáticas, Lenguaje / Ortografía, Ciencia, Estudios Sociales / Lectura).
b) El alumno completará la actividad especializada del día desde el tablero de opciones de aprendizaje combinado.
c) El estudiante completará la portada de Blended Learning de su paquete de hoja de trabajo que enumera qué actividad completaron para cada materia que figura en la portada de Blended Learning.
d) Los padres deberán firmar que su estudiante completó las hojas de trabajo y la actividad del especialista.
e) El estudiante traerá el paquete de la hoja de trabajo completa con la hoja de portada firmada y completa de regreso a la escuela (dentro de 3 días escolares) para recibir crédito por su trabajo..
En línea: Junta de opciones de aprendizaje combinado:
a) Cada estudiante puede elegir una actividad de cada materia en el tablero de elección: (Matemáticas, Artes del lenguaje, Ciencias, Estudios sociales, Especialista del día).
b) El alumno completa sus actividades elegidas y escribe su puntaje en papel (o en su Documento de Google de Aprendizaje combinado).
c) Luego, los estudiantes tachan la actividad que completaron en su tablero de elección.
d) Los padres deberán firmar que su estudiante completó el trabajo en línea y la actividad del especialista.
e) El alumno lleva a la escuela el tablero de opciones completo (dentro de los 3 días escolares) para recibir crédito por su trabajo.
** Si el estudiante necesita contactar a su maestro para hacer preguntas, puede enviar un correo electrónico a su maestro o llamarlos usando el número de teléfono de Google Voice del maestro.
